Olga Kochergina

(She, They, Theirs)

Birth Doula | Postpartum Doula

BIO:

A wish: in the moment, and in hindsight - let us narrate our experiences with deep self-generosity.

Olga is motivated to be there for folks as a doula because:

  • hard things can become traumatic when we feel lonely or isolated

  • companionship makes hard things okayish

  • guidance into self-trust can change a hard thing into a thing of affirmation and connection

Olga came to birth work through lived experience of family building as a third-culture person without extended community support.

They have experience with cesarean, VBAC, pelvic floor dysfunction, anemia, hypothyroidism, postpartum depression; as well as extended body feeding, combo milk & formula feeding, co-sleeping, baby wearing and baby-led weaning. Olga is a Full Spectrum Doula certified through Birthing Advocacy Doula Training.

Finally, Olga is neurodivergent. Their chosen community’s experience includes autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, and bipolar.

Fun Facts:

Olga’s Favorites in 3’s: Walking with friends, climbing small mountains, dancing while no one’s watching; 20min audio messages, nature photos, handwritten letters; Fried buckwheat with mushrooms, matcha ice cream, black tea with 3 sugars.

What To Expect:

Olga will de-emphasize attachment to particular outcomes, and focus on quality of the experience. They will support your chosen partners to show up in the way they’d like. They will help you influence your environment so that, as much as possible, you feel calm, settled, and loved.
